Volunteer Incentive Program
Sign up to volunteer and become a part of our race family! Once you volunteer you will be automatically entered into our Volunteer Incentive Program where your hours served can be redeemed for discounted or complimentary entries into one of UTMB’s North American events. Get involved, give back, and run with us!
Leading Roles
Automatic complimentary entry towards a 100M, 100K, 50K, 20K, or 10K event
Leading Roles are determined by the Volunteer Director and may vary from event to event. These roles typically involve positions that are crucial to race operations, runner safety, or managing other volunteers. A Leading Role may be specified in the shift description or identified at the end of the shift when selecting the volunteer incentive.
SUPPORTIVE ROLES
Supportive Roles are all volunteer positions outside the defined Leading Roles designated by the Volunteer Director.

- Complimentary entry towards a 100M,100K, 50K, 20K, or 10K.
Level 3 - PEAK
- Volunteer Swag: T-shirt and food & drink voucher
- Complimentary entry towards a 50K, 20K, or 10K.
Level 2 - RIDGELINE
- Volunteer Swag: T-shirt and food & drink voucher
- 20% off the first-tier pricing for any event and distance
Level 1 - BASECAMP
- Volunteer Swag: T-shirt and food & drink voucher
- 10% off the first-tier pricing for any event and distance
Guidelines
Eligibility
- To be eligible for incentives, volunteers need to make sure they sign in and out of each shift.
- Please contact your Volunteer Director for proper instructions on how to log hours, especially if you are working in a location with limited cellular coverage.
Process
- Once the event is over, volunteers will receive notification through Volunteer Local regarding their hours served and the corresponding level of incentive achieved/earned.
- Volunteers eligible for a discounted or complimentary race entry will have up to 30 days after the volunteer event ends to complete the request in Volunteer Local.
- Volunteers must be registered no later than 30 days before the event.
Regulations
- Discounted and complimentary entries are limited to events within one calendar year of volunteering.
- All selections in Volunteer Local are FINAL and cannot be changed.
- Entries into sold-out distances or events are not available.
- Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes transfers to another year, race, or transfers to another runner.
- There are no partial credits. Volunteers must work the entire shift to be eligible for incentives.
- Volunteers can choose to roll over hours and volunteer at another North American UTMB event to earn higher levels and incentives. Please note that hours expire at the end of the year.

Pro Tips
- After pre-sale, registration will be closed for a period. Historically, this is about 12-14 weeks. In the meantime, ensure you have selected your event and distance so when general registration opens… you’re ready!
- As soon as you receive your code name, REGISTER! The code will not work if an event or distance is sold out.
